Who we are...

 

Morgan County Humane Society (MCHS) is a 501(c)(3) registered charity located in Morgan County, Alabama serving the needs of animals at risk.

 

Our no-kill shelter was opened in Summer 2013, and has been built with grants and donations raised completely by volunteers. The building has indoor and outdoor kennels, a wildlife rehabilitation room, a feline room, a room for small critters, just to name a few. We are situated on 8.5 acres.

 

Our volunteers and board members have a passion that transcends simply just donating a few minutes for a meeting. They have put on their work boots and built a dream. Many contribute hours to the foster care of the canines and felines. Some are the dear souls that sit outside sponsor stores tirelessly asking for donations in all sorts of climates. The common bond is the love of animals.
